If you really want to get to know a place then it's best to take your time travelling through it. On this intensive 3 week tour you'll become completely immersed in Cuban culture. This really is a Cuba adventure tour, if there ever was one! Your adventure will begin in Havana, and then we'll take you westward, to the lush Viñales Valley. After spending a few days there, we'll take you back to Central Cuba. Afterwards you’ll travel to the pristine eastern coast of the country for a mix of culture, nature, and beaches. Itinerary
Welcome to Cuba! We can arrange a transfer to the hotel for you (optional) or you can organise transportation yourself.
Hotel in Havana, 4* Standard
Meet your guide and group at 8:30 am in the hotel lobby. Your guide will then take you on a walking tour of the historic Old Town of Havana – La Habana Vieja. Havana's old town was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1982. The atmosphere of bygone days is still present in the streets. Walking through Havana makes you feel as if you have been sent back in time. You will visit the Havana Club Rum Museum and get to know the modern part of Havana in the afternoon. Look forward to a delicious dinner at one of Havana's local restaurants.

On the third day of your tour you will go an excursion to the fortress "Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña". The impressive fortress was built by the Spanish and completed in 1774. Not only Che Guevara used it as a Headquarter. Che Guevara used the fortress as a Headquater. You will have a great view around the bay of Havana. After the visit of the fortress you will continue to the town Cojimar, where you will have lunch in a Restaurant. After lunch you will continue to the Playas del Este where you can relax on the beach or swim in the ocean.

Today you will leave Havana and head to the Las Terrazas community and nature reserve. The community is located in the majestic Sierra del Rosario mountain range. Forestry and ecotourism are the main industries in this spectacularly beautiful area. After exploring this rural community, nestled in a natural paradise, you will head for sunny Soroa.

After breakfast you will head to Cuba's famous tobacco region. Your first stop is Pinar del Rio where you will visit a tobacco factoy and see how the cuban cigars are produced. Then continue to Viñales, this beautifully quaint town is located amid green tobacco fields and monumental limestone hills known as Mogotes. You will visit the stunning natural cave of Cueva del Indio and have lunch together. Spend the night at a casa particular.

This morning we will take you to the spectacular Cayo Levisa. This beautiful beach is close by and it´s the perfect place for rest and relaxing. You can spend all day swimming and snorkeling. You will have lunch on the island.

Todays destination is Santa Clara, where we will visit the famous Che Guevara museum. You will also see the Tren Blindado Monument. Dinner at the hotel.

Today we are heading to the delightful city of Cienfuegos. It is one of the most beautiful and liveliest cities in all of Cuba. The Palacio de Valle, with its gothic, Venetian and neoclassical architectural influences is one of Cienfuegos’s jewels. You will visit Cienfuegos on a guided tour.

Today we will take you to the abundant botanical garden of Cienfuegos and finally head to the spirited city of Trinidad. Once in Trinidad enjoy an informative city tour strolling through this colorful colonial city.

After breakfast you will leave Trinidad for an excursion to the national park Topes de Collantes. Enjoy the beautiful nature on a hike on the Guanayara Trail and learn about the endemic Flora and Fauna. There will be the possibility to swim, so don´t forget to take you swimsuit. After returning to Trinidad spend the evening as you wish. We highly recommend to visit the Casa de la Trova where you can listen to cuban live-music.

In the morning you will get to know the Cubans' passion during a Salsa dance course. The rest of the day is set aside for enjoying Ancon beach. There are lots of optional activities including diving, snorkelling, and catamaran tours. You can choose to go on an excursion or simply spend the day relaxing on the sand, in the sun.

Today you will drive to Camagüey. On your way you will drive through sugar cane plantations and stop at the watchtower of Torre Iznaga, which was formerly used to oversee slaves labouring in the sugarcane fields. Nowadays, tourists can walk up the 560 m high tower and enjoy a great view of the beautiful surrounding fields. Once in Camagüey, you will explore the city from a new perspective as you take a tour in a bike-taxi. The architecture in Camagüey is known for having its own distinct style. Spend the evening as you please.

The small town of Bayamo awaits! Enjoy the quietness of this authentic Cuban town as you explore it on a guided walking tour.

After an early breakfast we will leave to Villa Santo Domingo from where we will go on with Jeeps until we will start our hike to the "Comandancia de la plata". It was a headquater of the rebels during the revolution. Before you return to Bayamo you will have lunch together.

It’s time to leave the Sierra Maestra Mountains behind and head for Santiago de Cuba, also known as the second capital of Cuba. On your way you will stop at the pilgrimage church of El Cobre, which is located on a mountain overlooking the valley. After arriving in Santiago de Cuba - the city of music and dance - we recommend to visit the Casa de la Trova where you can use your recently learnt Salsa skills.

Through a tour of Santigo de Cuba, you'll learn everything about the most lively city on the island. Nestled amongst a unique natural backdrop of a turqoise-blue sea, lush mountains and small beach bays, you will marvel at the sights. And due to its proximity to Jamaica and Haiti, it is known for its Caribbean flair of welcoming visitors with open arms. You will see the Castillo El Morro, the cemetery Santa Ifigenia and the Moncada museum.

From Santiago de Cuba you will drive along the wild and romantic Cuban coastline, along the famous Pass La Farola, to the sleepy little coastal town of Baracoa. You will visit the Rio Toa River and have lunch surrounded by the spectacular landscape.

Today you will go on a Hike through the Humboldt National Park. Enjoy untouched nature and stunning views on the guided hike. Again don´t forget to take you swimsuit you will have the possibility to swim. Spend the evening as you wish.

- *Casas Particulares are private houses of Cuban locals, who offer rooms to tourists. On request they are happy to cater you with a delicious breakfast (5-6 CUC) or even a lunch and dinner (10-12 CUC each). Let them know at your arrival.
