What to expect...
  Rightfully named the "Pearl of the South," as its located close to the beaches of the Cienguegos Bay. It was colonized in 1819 by a Frenchman and still has a lot of French influences today, shown through its architecture. Here you will find the Arco de Triunfo, Castillo de Juago and since 2005, its old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among the most popular natural destinations near Cienfuegos include the El Nicho waterfalls and the botanical garden.

Today you will arrive in Cienfuegos, which is an easy trip from many of our other destinations in Cuba. Whether you are coming from Playa Larga, Trinidad or others, you can arrange to arrive with a rental car. You can easily explore the attractive city center in Cienfuegos on foot. One of the main attractions is the Palacio del Valle, a Moorish style historic town. We also recommend visiting the Parque Jose Marti with many impressive surrounding buildings, including the Thomás Terry theatre and Cienfuegos Cathedral. Today is your last day in Cienfuegos but your journey through Cuba can easily continue! From Cienfuegos you can easily reach Camagüey in eastern Cuba, or travel up to the north coast to Cayo Santa Maria. There you'll be able to relax on the beach for a few days.
